1. How far is the flat from the Ski Station / Gondola?
The centre of the resort is about 400 meters from from the apartment. It takes about five minutes to walk into the the resort,
and an extra two minutes to walk to the ski station itself. Lockers are available in the ski station.
2. Can we hear 'bar noise' when in the Apartment?
No. The flat is located about a five-minute walk away from the main bar and club area, so no bar noise can be heard.
3. What's the accommodation like and where in Soldeu is it, and is there any parking ?
The apartment is located on the main road, along with many of the other hotels and apartments in Soldeu. For those familiar with the resort - then the apartment is directly opposite the Petit Reco cafe, and very near to a four star hotel, with its bars and restaurants. It’s approximately a 5 minutes walk from the centre of the resort. Remember though - its small resort !
It’s easy to cover the short distance to the centre of the resort on foot - no need for buses etc.
Both the Soldeu ski area and apartment is surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. This apartment is located on the second floor of a 4 storey residential block (no lift) in Soldeu.The apartment is warm and well sized compared to many new apartments, with a decent sized lounge, but the apartment is not what would be classed as modern. The apartment has a lounge (with sofa, chair, dinning table, TV connected to DVD etc) and a separate kitchen. The kitchen has fridge, full size gas hob and oven, toaster. Plates, cutlery and cooking utensils etc are provided.
Parking is available on the street, opposite the apartment, for free on a 1st come basis. Spaces become available often (see photo of parked cars at the bottom of page 2 - its difficult to see the parked cars as it has been snowing - but those are the spaces). Its clear how, even after heavy snow, the government, using snow ploughs, aims to keep this main road clear, making for an easier airport departure no matter what the weather.
Most people find that once parked up, they dont move the car that much.
4. Sleeping arrangements in the accommodation / Soldeu apartment..
With all bookings we include an information pack containing sketch maps of Andorra and Soldeu, a piste map, info on where and how to purchase your ski pass, ski hire, how to access lockers, how to book ski school, recommended places to eat out, how to locate the agent & apartment, travel tips, what to take, etc.

NB. When collecting your car - ask what free maps they have, and ask the staff to mark the main route/ junctions from the Airport to road for Andorra.
7. Getting to Soldeu
This apartment is best suited to the independent traveller. Nearest airports are Toulouse, Gerona and Barcelona, with travel times being about 3h.30m from Barcelona and 2h.30m hrs from Toulouse. Hiring a car makes getting to the resort easier. Getting to the resort from main airports is pretty simple,..but to make the journey as easy as possible you can print out your full-route from the airport to Andorra from the AA EU route finder, see link below. Or just take a sat nav with European Maps. Road maps are sent out with bookings.
8. Who can help find me a cheap flight! Try the flight search engine below for the different airports.
Flights tend to become more expensive the closer you are to departure. Nearby airports include Toulouse, Perpignan and Carcassonne all in France, all within a three-hour drive. Also try Barcelona or Gerona in Spain both about a 3h.30m hour drive to Soldeu.
9. How do we book the apartment?

Calls to the mobile are welcome weekdays 9am till 9pm, or 10am till 10.30pm weekends. But check the dates you want on the availability calendar (via the link on page 3) before proceeding (the colour red meaning the night really is not available).
To book. .. email of phone - requesting a booking form (sent via email). At this initial stage include basic details of the size of your group, with arrival and departure dates, plus any questions you may have. If you are booking less than two months in advance payment may be required immediately. Booking confirmation and all other information is sent out via the post once full payment has cleared.
